ENT....Ears, Nose and Throat

Yesterday at 4:40 L had an appointment with Dr. Agolia for a possible ear infection.....and as it turns out, he has ANOTHER ONE. So this means there is a very good possibility that L may go to see an ENT in the future.....

Dr. Agoila says that he knows that an ENT will NOT put tubes in at this point. P went from 4-6 months with a solid ear infection....Lincolns are a little different b/c his are being fixed with the medicine. So this time we are on a stronger antibiotic; Omnicef 1/2 teaspoon for 10 days.

Last night we cut up pumpkins....I have some of the cutes pictures of P. I will post them later for you to see!!

Until next time....please pray for an answer for the tubes thing (I would rather just do them because they have been such a positive thing for P), & the pain that the infection is causing L.

I can't believe it is Monday, and surprisingly I am glad it is Monday. I miss my Monday - Friday schedule....I feel like I have things somewhat under control. :) Last week was an extremely busy week for me. It just seemed like everything fell into my lap at the same time. I had a foto shoot on Monday at 8 AM....of triplets and I nearly forgot about it....Tuesday was our anniversary (thanks for the wonderful cards and best wishes you sent our way), Wednesday Madison had dance and I had a "Vendor Night" with Jordan Essentials and Daniel Paige Photography. Thursday I had to find some time for me so I went to the Chocolate Cafe in O'Fallon for a thick cup of hot chocolate and some conversation with WOMEN ONLY.....that was nice....On top of all of that I had to get a video for church finished and to the church for the baby dedication Sunday. So I finally dropped off the video at 4:00 on Thursday and I was done..... Then into the weekend...Friday we went shopping for a wedding gift (yes the wedding was on Saturday). We went to William Sonoma and I found my birthday present!! I have thought about it all weekend. I even said last night before we went to bed....chocolate is all I can think about....I think it is my guilty pleasure.....But the wedding was beautiful, the reception was a blast!

So when we get together with all of D's fraternity brothers the boys always get their photo together on the dance floor....well this time it was the wives!! GO GIRLS!!!

I gotta get ready to take M to school....ahh a schedule!!

FIRE, PRIVACY, & EVERYTHING ELSE

Alright so I am sure you all want to know about the FIRE first....



OK, so yesterday I was so excited to get out some Halloween decorations :) I put one of my newest on the top of the entertainment center...and then I lit it...that was all around 11:00. SO we go through the day I forget all about it...Then I remember seeing it and thinking I need to put that out before I go to bed...then Daniel and I went down stairs to flip laundry. We came up and went to bed...NOT EVEN THINKING TWICE ABOUT THE CANDLE...So around 2:30 I wake up to the smoke alarm and we open our door to a hall filling with smoke...



For some reason (let your mind wander if you wish) I slept in the buff last night. So when I got up to see what was going on I grabbed a shirt to wave at the smoke alarm. Yeah, so standing there naked waving the shirt at the alarm....



In the mean time....D goes to blow out the (THANK GOD) small fire and it jumps up like a grease fire....crappy candles from Wal-Mart. So he has to get the hot mitts and carry it to the kitchen to get it out with flour. At this point I am still in the buff holding L and rocking him to sleep. MANY, MANY, MANY thanks to GOD that there was NO damage to the entertainment center, there is NO smoke stuff on the wall or ceiling, only one of my children woke up, and NO ONE WAS HURT...PRAISE TO GOD.



So on the the next item for conversation....

PRIVACY SETTINGS....On November 1st I will be changing my privacy settings. I have many reasons for it and some of you I have shared those reasons with and also I read disturbing articles about people using blog photographs for kid porn, advertising with out permission, (like the 1st reason is not good enough to shut the whole thing down), and this article was also upsetting...so please email me and I will add you to view our family blog. EVERYTHING ELSE....

For starters...here is a very cute photo of P-Man and the Tigger on our front porch...

He can be such a cutie and such a stinker all at the same time....

Our Halloween Costume line up this year is....M will be Dorothy from the Wizard of OZ, P is going to be Bob the Builder, and L is going to be a pumpkin!!! So look for photos of that...I am sure it will be interesting.

Also, here is a confession I have to confess....I don't know why I have not shared this with you in the past, maybe b/c it is a sign of weakness (to me), and I have issues with that...so here it is...I am on Weight Watchers (WW) well, I should say I have the books and I weigh in at home. I don't go to meetings, and there are still VERY few people who know. But I started on the first day of school and I have lost a total of 12 as of today! I am excited!!!

Also, I want to thank everyone who commented on the "Church Sunday" post. It is nice to know I am not the only one out there that thinks those thought on a regular basis!! Kim, I would love to be a SSR of yours if you let me take a peek!!

Church Sunday

So at 2Rivers church on Sunday, Ron, our pastor preached on the 10 Commandments and made us all feel about 1 inch tall....

So here is what I am struggling with...maybe one of you can help...

DO NOT WANT WHAT OTHERS HAVE.

Daniel and I hang out with a lot of his friends from college. The are all great people and would do anything to help each other out....

But nearly all of them who are married live in these GINORMOUS houses. Some of them have children and some don't. ALL of them work, both husband and wife. And I understand that is how they are able to afford the really nice house (not that I am complaining, I love my house), but often I think I am the reason that we don't have that stuff...well actually I am the reason.

I love staying home with the kids and I love that I am able to crawl into bed with Madison when I wake her up in the morning....
I LOVE:
*being the first one they see and the morning and the last when they go down at night
*being able to kiss boo boos and hold them when they get hurt
*watching Parker mow the grass over and over with his mower
*Putting Lincoln down for his nap and getting him up
*seeing his face light up when I get him out of bed
*being able to take Madison to school EVERY morning
*being there as Madison runs to me when she gets off the bus
*knowing that the are in the best hands everyday of their lives
*teaching them their ABC's and 123's
*potty training them (even though sometimes I want to put out ALL of my hair)

And there many, many, many more that I could go on about for days...

So those of you that stay home is this a common concern that you have to or am I over reacting?

I just have to keep telling myself.....DON'T WANT WHAT OTHERS HAVE....

How do I get over this? PLEASE HELP....

Many of you have heard me say over and over again that "Daniel is out of town tonight."

Well above is a photograph of the job he has been working on in Normal, IL. It looks like the traveling will be cut to a day trip now. Sometimes he will have to stay over night but not too much!!! Luckily, he has a great project engineer working out there with him!!

Wordful Wednesday

Yeah I have a l0t to blog about today....really just an update!!!

I will start with Lincoln:

Lincoln got his 2nd tooth and is crawling EVERYWHERE. I don't remember the other 2 getting into EVERYTHING the way he does. Maybe it is b/c Parker keeps his toys in the living room and Lincoln really can't play with them so we are always on the look out for toys and other stuff he can't have. He is sitting up in the bath tub all alone...well he sits on a hand towel since it is so slippery in there. We don't need stitches in another tongue. As you saw he got his hair cut the other day...he looks so handsome!!!

Parker-Man:

Really the word BUSY sums it up. He hates to be inside and goes outside first thing every morning. He just loves the dirt. Me not so much. We are still working on the potty thing. He is now back to wearing a diaper to bed. He just can't stay dry. We will see. He is doing OK during the day. Today I had to go to a friends house to pick up some stuff and they were not there...well he had to potty so he did so on their trash can and thought it was the coolest thing!!! He will be starting preschool at our friends preschool lab on November the 2nd. He is crazy about buses. Every time he sees a bus he says "Parker's Bus" No questions asked...he likes the bus!

Madison:

Well, well, well she is busy in school and loves it!! She is in dance and is doing great! She is also in Awana. Her friend Eric from Home Team is also in it, so she likes to see him there! She has dance tonight and we get to view(this only happens once a month) so I will get some photos and share them with you!

So a while I back posted about Madison's Plane Ride...well that plane ride was b/c Madison and I were flying to Bloomington, IL to have a weekend of just the 3 of us(Daniel, Madison & I)!! wordless wednesday

Tough Thursday...

My Schedule Last Night.....
To Bed @ ????
Up @: 2:00a.m.
Up @: 5:00a.m.
and really didn't sleep much after that.....

The Reason:
My little Lincoln has an ear infection. I called Daddy first thing this morning and said "Poor Lincoln...he didn't sleep through the night, I am going to take him to the doctor this morning." He said...."Your the MoM!!!" So our normal doctor was out today so we saw the nurse practitioner. She was really great!! We have never had an appointment with her but she was really cool!!

So she confirmed that Lincoln has an ear infection on the RIGHT side. This was the same side he had the other EI in last time he went to the doctor. Also, he weighted in at 20.6 lbs. that is with clothes and a diaper that was probably wet on....I can really keep up with all of the peeing that is going on in my house.

But that being said....Parker Update...
Lets start out with Madison's potty training adventure....
So I was watching 4 1/2 year old Rachel (Daniel's Cousin) and I asked Rachel if she would go potty on the Elmo and Big Bird Potty chair. I told her that I would even put it outside so she didn't have to come in away from the fun to go potty. She was excited!!! So pretty much that was all I did...Madison caught on VERY well, just like she does most things....YEAH!!!

Parker on the other hand is still getting the hang of things....One day he will be great (Like today we went to the Doctor, Wal-Mart and Schnucks and when we got home he went potty like a PRO) and then other days he will forget everything....But there is progress b/c he is telling us potty. And guess what....when he has to go so do one of us....I have never gone potty so many times in one day....

So please pray for Lincoln's ear and again the potty training.... THANKS!!!

So AMAZING....

It makes a mom proud to find these moments in their children.....

that is right....that is my little girl reading her little brother a book.....she is so sweet!!

and she didn't even look back. Madison was the 4th one up today. Right after she heard Lincoln rolling around in bed. She came and got into bed with Lincoln and I am then we heard Parker-Man. He was the last one up to CeLEbRatE Madison's Big Day..... We went and had breakfast. Madison had cinnamon and sugar toast with grapes and milk. Parker had the same and Lincoln had some blueberries and pears with a bottle of course!!! Then it was time to get some teeth brushed.....and clothes on......she was so excited that she could tie her shoes for the first day of school....... She wore a yellow ribbon, her duck shirt and her tennis shoes b/c on Mondays she has PE. So below are some photos of her on her 1st day of Kindergarten.

So I haven't cried yet but that doesn't mean the tears will not come.....
